Upstream Energy will collect waste from feed stocks, wood, fish farming and municipal waste and produce green energy and valuable biochar while collecting CO2 to avoid emissions to the athmosphere.

Our Story

The idea was born while working with the plans for Upstream Aqua`s landbased fishfarm. With great attention to the challenge to avoid reject water to the Hallingdal waterways, one of the elements was to collect the sludge from the fish farm.

When discussing this issues with the most competent experts i our country at the University of Life Scienses the clear recommendation was to look into the technology to transform the sludge to biochar. This really opened our eyes for the huge impact this could have for recycling the sludge and even better to include other waste into the circular economic circle with all the benefits mentioned above.
